Diamonds are the cornerstone of any jewellery collection that is worth noticing. It can be argued that any collection without a diamond isn’t a jewellery collection at all. Women are especially fond of diamonds. Any woman who is being asked for her hand in marriage expects to have a nice diamond ring placed on her finger. Many a man worries if the diamond he has bought will bring a smile to a woman’s face.

Buying engagements rings often entails looking at a variety of diamonds. Often times, a budget is set since diamonds can get extremely expensive. Sometimes the ring will consist of a few different diamonds, while other times there will just be one diamond in the ring. When it comes to diamond engagement rings, bigger is not always better; a smaller diamond that is virtually flawless is a better bet than a larger, flawed diamond.

Tennis bracelets look even better when they are laced with diamonds. Since tennis bracelets that are adorned strictly with diamonds can get expensive, it is not uncommon to have other gems accompany the diamonds; however, diamonds are going to be the gems that always attract the attention of someone viewing the tennis bracelet. Tennis bracelets that have more width can be adorned with even more diamonds.

When it comes to earrings, what is more stunning than a pair of diamond earrings? Some people prefer to wear diamond earrings that are studs, while other prefer earrings that dangle from the ear. Either choice can look incredible with the right setting and diamonds. Typical settings for diamond earrings can be gold or platinum. As with other diamond jewellery, sometimes the look of the piece can be enhanced by using other gems. At the end of the day, it is strictly a matter of taste.

Diamond necklaces can really catch the eye. There are simply so many design options available to jewellers when it comes to diamond necklaces. From the amount of stones to the length of the piece, jewellers have been known to create pieces that will be the center of conversation wherever the person who is wearing it goes. Diamonds can be placed around the entire length of the necklace, or the necklace can be designed in such a way that a diamond piece hangs from it. As with other diamond jewellery, adorning it with other precious gems is an option.

Watches are not only for telling time, they are excellent show pieces when they have been enhanced with diamonds. Diamonds can be placed inside the actual timepiece, or the diamonds can be placed on the outside face of the watch and the band. Some designers will replace the numerals on the watches face with diamonds. When combined with the right color watch, diamonds really help to make the timepiece stand out. A blue background on the face of the watch usually looks best with diamonds. The gems are not as visible if the color of the face is silver.
